CallApp’s caller-identification database is enormous, and it does things we deliberately do not: names for unknown callers, social profile photos, and call recording. If putting a name and face to every caller is what you want, CallApp does that far better than we do.

Does CallApp show ads on its paid tier?
CallApp's own App Store listing advertises an ad-free experience on its paid subscription tiers, so the difference isn't ads on a paid plan, it's ads on the free one. Call Vault has no ads on any tier, free or paid.
Can Call Vault show a name and photo for unknown callers, like CallApp?
No, and this is a deliberate trade-off, not a missing feature. Naming a caller the way CallApp does requires a database built from user-uploaded contacts and public profiles. Call Vault identifies spam risk without building that kind of database, so it never asks for your contacts to work.
Does CallApp block spam texts as well as calls?
CallApp is primarily a caller-ID and call-recording product. Call Vault filters both spam calls and spam texts on-device, and Premium adds reading and replying to a blocked text without unblocking the sender.
